About Ciel
Ciel (see ell') is French for sky, as in The Sky's the Limit, Pie in the Sky, Blue Skies and Sunshine, or Sky High.
Ciel Gallery and Studios was opened in Summer 2008 by mosaic artist Pam Pardue Goode as a venue for both the exhibition and creation of art in endless forms. Juried, Invitational, and Open Exhibitions will rotate every 4 - 6 weeks, and will coincide with the First Friday Gallery Crawls each month from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Classes in a variety of media for the beginner through advanced students will be offered for both children and adults. A current schedule can be found on the Workshops page. Student shows will feature the artwork created. If you have suggestions for future classes, please email us!
Ciel also functions as a working mosaic studio. If you'd like to learn more about the Ancient Meets Modern art of mosaic, feel free to stop by for a demo, check on works in progress, or view the exhibited gallery work.
The Community Mosaic Project, founded by members of Charlotte Art League, is open to participation from any and all community members, regardless of age or experience. Upcoming open sessions will be listed on the events page, or you can check the CMP website at www.communitymosaicproject.com.
